More Joy!

Alright yo people.
I am going to be really quick.
Last Monday, usual pday. Winco and ice cream with the oso oro sisters. Then to the mall with the lake skinner sisters. FHE we tie died. We have some pretty cool matching shirts.

Shout out to my daddy and my baby! Happy Birthday!

Tuesday Jane’s bday, we did our studies and went to lunch at Chic fil A we dressed in black and white and they gave us free food. We went to JJ’s house and helped him with service. He is an interesting dude with long curly hair and a beard.

We had an amazing experience, we met and taught Madeline. She is the girlfriend of a returning member, Camble. She was talking to her boyfriend’s mom, Sue, who I knew in Oso Oro. She told Sue she wants to be baptized. Sue answered alright, we can arrange that. We went with the Oso Oro sisters and Sue and taught Madeline. Madeline is a miracle, she is elect. We talked about how as missionaries we help others come to Christ and find the joy he offers each of us. She told us she wants that direction and peace in her life. She wants Jesus Christ to help her and guide her through her trials because right now she feels lost. We talked to her about baptism and about the Book of Mormon. We basically laid out expectations we have and wanted to know what she was hoping to get out of meeting with us. We read the introduction to the Book of Mormon and invited her to be baptized. She at first said she wants to be baptized on July 26th which would have been amazing. Yet we told her that if Camble gets cleaned up and gets back on track he could be the one to baptize her. So we set her date at Sept 5th. When we talked to her she felt the spirit so strong. It was amazing. She cried when we talked to her about Jesus Christ. Sister Moore asked her what she was feeling and she said she was feeling excited and happy. It was an overall amazing experience and it was a blessing to see that miracle.
Wednesday, food pantry and district council. We focused on elevated member visits. That night we did crafts with Michelle. She taught us how to make dream catchers. It was awesome. We love her and she is so amazing and all that jazz.

Thursday, studies and planning for zone conference. We met with Michael and talked about temples and watched a couple of videos.

Friday, Michael got to go to the temple. We drove to Carlsbad. I stayed in Carlsbad with Sister Palmer while Sister Eyre and Sister Moore went to the temple with Michael. We worked and talked to a lot of amazing children of God. It was a really great day.

We met with October, she is so cool, she and Hannah would be best friends. She just graduated and wants to prepare to be a missionary.

We met with Cameron who returned from his mission two months ago. We worked with him to make a plan how he can continue to invite people to come unto Christ.

We went to our mall booth. The question on the white board was “What makes you happy?” I loved this. I love happiness and joy and love all the different answers as responses to that question. Many have a belief in God and faith in Jesus Christ and many are lost.
Saturday, building cleanup,
studies and we met with David a return missionary from 2 years ago. Michael’s birthday! Happy Birthday! We ate lunch with him and he used his amazing skills and played his piano for us. A couple of our sisters got heat exhaustion so we took them to the emergency room.
Sunday, we had MCM and then had church. I actually had the opportunity to speak in church. My topic I was given was the hymn ‘Where can I Turn for Peace?’ I absolutely love this topic. I can spend all day talking about the peace that comes from Jesus Christ and his gospel and keeping his commandments, the joy that is tied into that peace, the love for Jesus Christ as we follow his plan. It just all ties together, I love it. Peace. Joy. Love. I sound like a hippie.

We had dinner with Leah who came home from Jamaica two months ago.

We went on a cool hike, we call it the triple nickel because we left at 5:55.

We talked at our dinner with Leah about Jesus Christ and the role he plays in our lives, what he has done for each of us. We chatted about why we are here on missions. I felt happy for the person I have become and can be because of Jesus Christ. I am happy for our ability to constantly change and improve and come closer to him. I am grateful for the last 17 ½ months of my mission as I have been able to testify of that and change and grow and help others see that in their lives as well. It has been so cool. Overall, I want you to know how much I love my Savior Jesus Christ and how special he is to me.  I love my mission, I know I tell you that every single week. It means everything to me. I am grateful for the opportunity to share his light and his love and his peace with everyone I get to talk to. I am blessed to wear his name on my shirt and on my heart. I am blessed to be his disciple.

I love you all so much. Have a fantastic week because I know I will.

Love you, love you, bye!
